The CLEAR-Rights Project publishes a database about child-friendly justice

El proyecto CLEAR-Rights publica una base de datos sobre justicia adaptada a la infancia

The CLEAR-Rights Project has created CHILD-Lex, a database on child-friendly justice. This database provides detailed information to professionals about the rights of children in contact with the justice system. It contains legal factsheets detailing these rights under international, European and national legislation of Belgium, France, Hungary, The Netherlands, and Romania.

The factsheets cover the following key child-friendly justice issues: fair-trial guarantees, child justice systems, children’s rights to legal assistance, diversion from formal judicial proceedings, rights of children in vulnerable situations, children’s rights to effective participation, children’s rights at the police station, pre-trial detention of children, sentencing of children, and children’s rights in detention.

This is one of the outputs generated in the framework of this project, who recently organised its final conference to disseminate these results.
