PACE, Policing and Children's Rights - Hybrid Event

In addition to legal safeguards under the PACE act, children arrested and detained by the police have human rights protections under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This session will look at the practical outworking's of the current PACE codes and up to date case law surrounding them as well as detail the Centre’s work with the PSNI around spit and bite guards, strip searches and the need to raise the voice of the child during the early stages in the criminal process.
This course carries verified CPD points for both Solicitors and Barristers.
