About this course:
A lawyer-led exploration of the complexities around the disclosure of childhood convictions under the Disclosure and Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) schemes.
Who is this course for?
This session is for anyone who supports or works with children in conflict with the law, to increase your understanding of childhood criminal records.
Key learning:
How offences committed by children are handled within the children’s hearing system.
What information might appear on disclosure checks in the future.
Processes to request a review or appeal of any information which does appear on disclosure checks.
About the trainer:
Claire Osborne joined Clan Childlaw in 2019 and has a background in working with vulnerable clients, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and victims of human trafficking. She works with children and young people every day to make sure that their rights are being upheld.
