Exploring the Impact & Implications of Covid-19 on the Youth Justice System

This event will present the research findings in relation to the impact of Covid-19 on the courts, community and custody. It will provide an opportunity for delegates to discuss the findings and their own experiences of how Covid-19 has impacted their work and the future of the youth justice system.

In addition to presenting the research findings, an expert panel of youth justice professionals will take part in an audience Q and A. Confirmed speakers include: Keith Fraser, Chair of the YJB; Pete Gormley, Governor of Wetherby YOI; Esther Horner-Aird, Deputy Director of Youth Work, the NYA; Chesney Chick, YOT Manager, Monmouthshire, Thomas Lang, Head of Service, Manchester Youth Justice and Rob Moussalli, Head of the Youth Crime Dept, Burton Copeland Lawyers.

The event will launch a film co-created with justice-involved children discussing their experiences of the youth justice system during the pandemic.
