A rise in youth crime has coincided with a "huge drop" in youth service funding, a police and crime commissioner (PCC) has said.

Dorset's youth crime rates have risen for two years, as national rates fell.

Statistics show 344 young people per 100,000 entered the youth justice system in Dorset for the first time in 2017/18, compared with a national average of 237.

Dorset PCC Martyn Underhill said cuts led to anti-social behaviour.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A new federal report has found the number of kids who say they have been sexually victimized in juvenile detention centers has dropped across the U.S. compared with past years. But remarkably high rates of sexual abuse persist in 12 facilities stretching from Oregon to Florida, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics report released Wednesday.

Un total de 44 expedientes a menores se incoaron en Extremadura el pasado año por violencia contra sus padres o madres, 37 en la provincia de Badajoz y 7 en la provincia cacereña, según informó ayer la Fundación Amigo. En su estudio Violencia filio-parental en España. Datos 2018, refleja que los expedientes abiertos a jóvenes por violencia filio-parental aumentaron un 3,6% en el país el pasado año, situándose en 4.833 los procedimientos abiertos frente a los 4.665 registrados en 2017.

ON OCTOBER 31, 2019 the High Court ordered to release all the children under the age of 12 from Gazipur and Jessore Children Development Centre who were tried in mobile courts. Simultaneously, the court also granted bail for six months to all those imprisoned by the order of courts other than designated children court. The order came following a report in a national Bengali daily on the same day. According to the report, mobile courts have illegally jailed 121 children to six months to one year and they have been kept in the CDCs in Tongi and Jessore.
