At Marie-Victorin College , we have developed an educational vision that has been refined and solidified over the years. It is founded on convictions and values that are rooted in our history and traditions. Over the past few years, we have been in a process of reflection and consultation in our College community and have defined our shared vision of education that we refer to as our EDUCATIONAL PROJECT.
The student is the primary focus of all our concerns. It is our fundamental belief that the student is responsible for their own educational progress. We also believe that, at Marie-Victorin College, students participate in a collective project that will not only prepare them for university studies, but also help them to develop qualities and values that will enrich their lives; our objective is to create an environment in which all of our students will be able:
- to be open to all areas of knowledge;
- to discover others and the world around them;
- to develop their individual personality.

Marie-Victorin College was founded in 1965 as a teachers’ college specializing in teacher training. In 1969, the institution became a private college providing general education and professional training. In 1993, the Quebec government acquired the College and made it the province’s 47th public college. The Multicultural Education Center was established in the summer of 2002. The mission of the Multicultural Education Center is to provide a variety of college programs to students from various ethnic backgrounds in order to prepare their successful and customized transition to university studies or to integrate the job market.
