Contact with the Law. Children's Rights, Laws and You.

project C.L.E.A.R. – "Children’s Legal Education – Adapted Resources"
Save the Children Romania

Abstract

You have rights, but the laws that affect you are complex and changing. A set of three manuals has been written to help you understand your rights and to help you think about the laws that affect you. We developed them with the help of more than 300 teenagers from Belgium, Italy, Romania, Spain and the UK.

What is in this manual?

  • About public institutions – they play a role in protecting your rights
  • Public space and contact with police and other officials
  • A glossary or explanation of some special words used to talk about the law
  • Criminal Law – what happens when a crime is committed
  • Family Law – when the court wants to know what teenagers think
