Abstract

Communication submitted in the First International Conference of Juvenile Justice "Juvenile Justice and the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency in a Globalized World". Salamanca 2004.

The following presentation is divided in two main parts. The first part describes the youth situation and the police tasks/ functions/ responsibilities within the framework of a traditional approach.As for The second part it describes an innovative and dynamic process in the intervention of police with minors in conflict with the law or children victims during the pre-trial phase.The following presentation highlights the good practices and the lessons learnt from the Lebanese experience regarding law enforcement in the field of juvenile justice.
